The Price of Failure
In a country that seems to be overflowing with joy and celebration there is an isolated spot in South West London that bucks the trend. Chelsea is full of gloom and no wonder. The club managed by the self-styled Special One has drawn two and lost one of its last four games and within the space of a week has suffered the intense pain and embarrassment of seeing their precious dreams of Champions League glory and the retention of their Premiership title slip away. And if they fail to win the 2007 F.A. Cup final at the new Wembley Stadium all they will have to show for their season is a Carling Cup that Arsene Wengers exciting and entertaining young stars deserved to take away.
Right now, you could easily forgive Roman Abramovic if hes wondering what you can expect these days for an investment of over £500 million.
