The Second Coming
In the most remarkable transfer of the January window, 30 year old Manchester City striker Robbie Fowler has grasped the opportunity to return to his spiritual home, Liverpool the club which many people believe he should never have been allowed to leave after notching up a remarkable 120 goals in 210 appearances ranging over 9 years.
Credit to Manchester City boss Stuart Pearce for understanding how important it was for Robbie to return to what Pearce called his dream club and to Raffa Benitez for his shrewdness and vision in setting up the deal. Needless to say, legions of Liverpool fans are ecstatic at the return of an instinctive marksman whom they rate even above Michael Owen and thrilled by the prospect of what a revitalised Robbie Fowler can do for them in the remainder of the season.
